Today was one of those days that just make you look up in the wonder. The clouds were gliding so swiftly across the sky, changing shape and color as they went. Strong winds and a new weather front were creating magic in the skies. The woods were bathed in sunlight, then shadow, then sunlight again.
I found my smallness under this glorious shifting canopy.
Finding my smallness is important in order to have peace. It means that I don’t think my problems or pain are bigger than God. It means that I don’t try to control my universe (like only God can). It means that he is God and I am not. When I allow him to be God and be in control I can rest. Finally, the one person who can actually handle all of this is at the helm.
I am thankful I found my smallness under the clouds today.
Psalm 19:1-4 ~”The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”
