Today we had some lovely snow flurries Georgia. This is a special occasion as we rarely get snow. It came in bursts today, so fast and furious and then gone again. It was lovely while it lasted.
We lost someone very special in our church today. She was an amazing woman of God. As the snow fell today I thought of her and the reception she must be receiving in heaven. Instead of the flurries I see a ticker-tape parade in her honor celebrating her homecoming. She will no longer deal with devastating pain. She will be able at last to look into the face of the Savior that she trusted so deeply.
Our hearts feel saddened tonight at her exit from this world. We will miss her calm steady voice- her joy and excitement about people and God- her kindness and personal attention she gave everyone. Even in her death, she gave all the glory to Jesus and never doubted his goodness. I want to be like that. She led so many to the Lord. She also pastored and shepherded so many that needed love and support along the way. Her heart was in the high school ministry and all of my kids were blessed by her leadership and heart for them.
We will miss you Sandy Knap.
And I can hear it echoing now, across the veil that thinly divides heaven and earth, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Yes indeed, well done. We will always love you and the legacy you left behind.
Please pray for the Knapp family as they feel the ache that grief brings.
Matthew 25:23 ~” “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’”
