The peach tree is in full bloom today. There is a low buzzing everywhere as the honeybees have begun their work of gathering pollen for their queen. It is delight to the senses to be outside in Georgia right now. The earth is warming again.
I am in the middle of a sugar detox and don’t feel so lovely. I feel achy and tired. The detox is necessary. I need to feel as good as possible and find my brain if I can. I have never in my life forgotten to connect with so many people. I know it is a combination of grief, puppy-brain (which means very little sleep) and my poor eating habits. Like it or not, it’s time to get back on the horse.
And so, this little walk outside down to the barn was good for my soul. There is color and life emerging everywhere.
Thank you Jesus, for new life.
