I love this image of Holly and Chris. I am photographing their wedding in May and we went to downtown Dahlonega for their engagement session today. They are precious. There was a gentleman singing and playing the song “Mr Bojangles” and they stopped to dance. Joy.
They are off to a wonderful start.
We have to stop to dance while the music is playing. We do not know what life will send our way. Yes, there are bills to pay and the house is a mess. The pressures of life are demanding and the enemy of our soul is unrelenting.
Let’s dance anyway.
Dancing takes us out the trudge-trudging of our steps and into grace. Dancing makes us giggle and helps us not to take ourselves so seriously. It humbles us, enfolds us in joy, and lifts us out of the mundane. Dancing makes our hearts beat faster and our arms cling tighter to one another. It reminds us of the eternity that is bound up in our hearts.
Oh yes.
Let’s dance.
Thank you Chris and Holly for showing us how.
Jeremiah 31:13 ~”Then young women will dance and be glad, young men and old as well. I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.”
