Comfort

Comfort

This is our beautiful friend Kellie. When she came over to visit tonight I asked her if she would be willing to participate in my 365 project. She kindly agreed.  (She didn’t know that I would have her standing outside in the cold with a studio light.)

I wanted to convey the feeling of comfort, with a mug of hot chocolate outside in the freezing cold (brrr!). And although we could see the steam coming from the mug with our eyes, the camera refused to capture it. I think my studio light was just too bright. Anyway, isn’t Kellie adorable? She has the love of Christ in her and it shows.

It’s cold and dreary outside but we are comforted by God’s kindness.  We are grateful this night for : homemade pizza on the stove (again), a fire in the fireplace, red flannel pajamas and beautiful friends that come over ( and let me photograph them). Counting gifts reminds us of his love and this brings great comfort. He is always with us. Always.

To my daughter who is far away in Washington D.C. tonight in the middle of a snowstorm- I love you. May the Lord comfort you and take care of you. We miss you.

Joy

Joy

Isaiah 29:13 ~”Shout for joy, you heavens; rejoice, you earth; burst into song, you mountains! For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.”
