I saw this refection quite by accident as I was photographing a sunset today and it stopped me in my tracks. I just loved the clear image of the trees mixed in orange and blue reflecting in my car window. There is something so magical about reflections for me. They engage the place where eternity sits in my soul. It’s almost as if I get to peek into heaven a bit when I see a lovely reflection.
The thought crossed my mind as I was editing the image to post that most people will not find it engaging. From a photography stand point, it isn’t really that great. The lines are not leading anywhere and it is hard to know exactly what it is. That’s okay though. I am tending the magic that God put inside of me. I love it. It makes me feel something meaningful and that is enough.
We have to be good stewards of the things that make our hearts come alive. Stifling them just because they don’t make sense to others will only put those places to sleep inside us. No, tonight let’s be different. Let’s attend to the things that make our hearts come alive. We are fearfully and wonderfully made.
Let’s tend the magic.
Psalm 139:13,14 ~”For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
